In 2012, Pulcinella developed a partnership with the city of Aubervilliers – La-Courneuve centred on the creation of a show with children from the leisure centres and directed by Tami Troman: Au royaume du plaisir et des jeux (In the Kingdom of Pleasure and Games), presented in April 2012 at the Theatre Equestre Zingaro. The project allowed for the discovery of the Baroque era by children removed from culture and artistic practices. At the city’s request, a second residency took shape the following year, in prolongation of the first. The actions carried out were placed under the sign of the meeting and dialogue between two universes which, at first sight, appear quite remote: Baroque music and Malian music focussing on the personality of Fantani Touré, one of Mali’s great voices.
Actions : workshops raising awareness of Baroque music, the discovery of Malian music and putting it into perspective with Baroque music, show reflecting what was learned in the workshops
The venues : leisure centre, conservatory and schools of Aubervilliers – La Courneuve, Espace Renaudie
Publics concerned : children from the leisure centre, pupils at the Aubervilliers – La Courneuve schools and conservatory
Other contributors : professionals and conservatory professors
