Highlights 21/22

The 2021-22 season

A very busy start to the season for Ophélie Gaillard, with recitals and orchestral and chamber concerts in France, Switzerland, Germany and Romania.

A jury member for the Geneva International Cello Competition, she is also behind the creation of the Swiss Cello Association, which will be giving its inaugural concert under the auspices of the competition in October.

Big success for the Vivaldi Album in 2020 despite the pandemic situation, already almost 8000 albums saled and streamed!

Defying the deleterious effects of Brexit, the Pulcinella Orchestra will be devoting its next recording to Italian composers who enjoyed success in Britain in the eighteenth century. The orchestra’s seventh album, “A Night in London”, featuring Sandrine Piau, Lucile Richardot and Raquel Camarinha, is due to be released on the Aparté label in spring 2022.

The Pulcinella Orchestra’s commitment to the Rhône-Alpes region continues with new works, new collaborations and mediational activities in Haute-Savoie.

Ophélie Gaillard will also be conducting the Ambronay Academy in July 2022 in a programme of works by Mozart, Haydn and Boccherini.

The first Season PontiCello based in French-speaking Switzerland – Suisse Romande – conceived in the midst of the pandemic, closes with a “Fiesta Latina” on 17 December 2021, which will be broadcast by Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS).

For its second season, in 2022, PontiCello will be presenting audiences in Suisse Romande with four weekend programmes spread over the year.

These concerts will provide an opportunity not only to welcome famous names, but also to reveal talented young Swiss artists, and offer mediation concerts to audiences who don’t have easy access to concert halls.

Ophélie Gaillard will also be touring France, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, and Portugal, as part of the France-Portugal Cultural Season (held in both countries).
